Raw Sienna is a yellowish-brown natural earth pigment, composed primarily of iron oxide hydroxide. The colour of the pigment in its natural, or raw state. This is what I had to use for water in this painting. I can't even imagine drinking water that was this color! The very last thing you want to do is have muddy colors in an oil painting but I had to find a way to do that clearly. (If that makes sense)

Children in Rwanda looking for clean water but all they can see is pollution as far as the eyes can see. They have no choice but to drink it, even though animals use it to and it will make them very sick.
